The other day, while waiting to meet a friend for dinner at the restaurant in my local Nordstrom store, I decided to take a look around in the cosmetic department [can’t say no to makeup/skincare or the shoe department!] 🙂 I ran into a sales associate that I shop with regularly and she told me about a couple of upcoming events and promos!
Now, I’ve heard that customers could get facials from high end skincare brands (ex: SKII, 3-Lab, Kate Sommerville, Chantecaille, etc.) at Nordstrom, but I didn’t know that these are free!! How do I score one of these free facial appointments?! (This info may depend on your location.)
The sales associate took out an appointment book listing out all of the brands currently offering free skincare services in the store. It’s that easy?!
Arcona is a brand that I had heard of and was introduced to a little bit, but I didn’t really know too much about their products. Since they had an opening for a facial on an upcoming weekend, I figured, why not?! I didn’t have any other mid-day plans. And a free facial sounded great!
A few days later when I returned for my appointment, I found that I was pleasantly surprised! 🙂
So, this wasn’t one of those sit at the counter and have a sales associate show you some skincare products real quick in front of the public. This was a lie down in a private room, like you’re at the spa with relaxing music, where you get a mini neck/shoulder/arm massage, minus the extractions and the steamer [although hot towels were involved] kind of facial! 🙂 *two thumbs up*
Not bad for free! Not bad at all!
There was a bit of product education during the facial, which I didn’t mind. I got to learn more about the background of the brand and their mission. As well as, know exactly what was being applied to my face and what the purpose of each product was. I’m a little new to the mask trend [GASP!] and there are just so many options out there, I was happy to have the chance to hear about just one product line’s masks and how they work their magic on the skin.
In general, the Arcona line is packed with fruit ingredients – many of their products have raspberry and cranberry 🙂 yum! They smell delicious!
I was very impressed with their ‘Raspberry’ Resurfacing Peel, ‘Wine’ Hydrating Mask and Tea Tree Mask (only applied to “irritated” areas). My face felt so refreshed by the end of the facial, and my skin looked a lot brighter!
After my facial, I decided that I would pick up a couple of products and asked to have them set aside for Nordstrom’s triple bonus points event 🙂 Stay tuned for a post coming soon, where I’ll share the Arcona products I picked up!
If you’re interested in getting a free facial [remember, I said it was FREE?!] I’d highly suggest talking with a sales associate at Nordstrom. The associate I usually shop with let me know that the facial was totally free. I decided that the esthetician I was scheduled with did such an amazing job that I left her a tip!
I thought this was such an awesome experience, that I thought I should share it with others in case any of you out there are interested 🙂
